Penarik Beca Released!
Famous blogger Penarik beca who was arrested by the police has been released today at 5.30pm.
The reason for arrest?
He was investigated him under Section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act, which deals with the act of republishing materials which are seditious in nature.
Why?
The police crest that accompanies his posting Kenapa Tak Saman Raja Petra?
Excerpts from Rocky’s Bru :
When Penarik Beca was released he told friends and the press,
“I would like to say that I regret putting the crest there. It was wrong, a stupid mistake. I would like to tender my sincere apology to the whole police force.
“I defended and still defend what I wrote but since the first moment they hauled me in, I’ve said without any reservation that I regretted having copied-and-pasted the image.”
Thank god he is ok and safe home!

Penarik Beca is in police custody after he got picked up from his home for somthing that was posted on his blog. Im pretty sad that this has happened. Got the below image from Mob via Kickdafella.

It was the logo!
I was wondering why the heck did Penarik Beca get arrested for and i saw this piece of news on the star today.It was because for allegedly defacing the Royal Malaysia Police logo by replacing the tiger symbol with a barking dog.He is also said to have removed or defaced the crown bearing the words Allah and Mohamed with the symbol of a star. Im not going to even look for the logo and put it on this blog because i love my freedom!
The police had obtained a one-day remand order to detain him to facilitate police investigations and i surely hope they release the Penarik Beca asap!! Bloggers unite for freedom of speech!!

Penarik Beca in Custody
This is extremely sad news! Penarik Beca has been arrested and in police custody right now.He was arrested at his home in Gombak with his laptop and mobile phone being taken as well. He runs the infamous Penarik Bece blog and Malaysia Kita, a blog that features political news from Malaysian political sites.
Hanifah Maidin, his lawyer, contacted the police, and confirmed that Bakar was detained under the Sedition Act, I’m a little puzzled on why but i sure hope that he will be released very soon because this is the freedom of speech being hung by its neck
Politickler is a regular on Malaysia Kita.

The RPK 4 day Story
While most of us were sleeping in the comfort of our homes, our brother RPK was in prision for something that was totally unnecessary! He was charged with sedition and was sent to jail when he refused bail. He has perfect reason for doing so and he has explained what exactly happened in run in to the prisonment and his experience behind bars.

I must say i have the utmost respect for the man who stood up for what he believes in. He has been giving the nation uncensored facts which we have been thirsty for years and what happened? He got charged!

Raja Petra To Be Charged
Malaysiakini reported that Raja Petra Kamaruddin ,famously known as RPK has been ordered to surrender at the Jalan Duta Magistrates Court at 9.30am tomorrow to be charged for sedition. RPK was called in by the police last Friday to give his statement with regards to a posting on his blog (malaysia-today.net) pertaining to the murder case of Altantuya.
The blog entry ,’Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell’ implicated Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor in the high-profile case.RPK refused to give his statement to the police when he was called in.
