MIC to Grow Youth

MIC YOUTH HEAD

MIC YOUTH HEAD

On of the most ravaged parties in the last election,MIC is going through a massive re-branding. As part of his re-randing the party has strategically places emphasize on its youth wing. They have ambitious aim’s to have a additional 50,000 new youth members by next June.

Apparently 10,000 youths have already indicated their willingness and would join after the process of branch formations was streamlined. If your interested to make a change to the party who is refusing to make a change to the leadership that is ageing, this is “your calling” .

Im curious, what are the numbers for MIC members that have left the party since March 8th??

Super Soorya

Charged with Corruption

According to the MIC hotshot Datuk Samy Vellu, the party is re-branding and this will effectively propel them into the spotlight again. While the efforts of a new logo, party colors, charter and all that mambo jambo is going on downs south a MIC state leader M Soorianarayanan was charged with corruption.

To add icing on the smelly cake, it was for a mere RM3500. The offence??

For allegedly making a false claim for an air-conditioner unit worth RM3,500

However the state head pleaded not guilty at the Johor Baru Sessions Court. He has been released on a RM5,000 bail.Imagine that! He allegedly made RM3500 and his bail is RM5000. Apparently he was the no choice for Datuk Samy Vellu to stand during the March 8th election but was dropped due to Rm3500!He was then replaced by  MIC Johor Wanita chief T Murukasvary who went on to win(on of the other few MIC members who won).

He was charged under Section 11(c) of the Anti-Corruption Act 1997 which is punishable with a jail term of up to 20 years and a fine not less than five times the value the gratification or RM10,000 whichever is higher.

All this is happening while the Terengganu state government claimed that Proton Perdana’s cost too much to maintain and they have spent more than RM100,000 to repair.

MIC youths are moving out!

MIC is turning into a the museum indians congress with most of thier youth members deciding to resign and move out of the party. The see the current leadership not fit to take the party forward. In my view, MIC survival was simply because of BN’s stronghold of federal for over 50 years. They needed a indian component party to represent them and MIC was there for that and now when things are fragile…Where are they??

Its rough waters from here on, only the fittest will survive and the opposition have been hungry for this moment and now that time has arrived, My 2 cents…Close MIC down, replace all the offices to either schools(if they are big enough) or tution centers(the smaller once)

The indians dont need a party representing them(considering what we have had all these years, were better off with none). Playing the race card is a thing of the past, PKR and DAP have got heaps of Indians and other races in them..Even PAS have got non muslim members…So whats the big deal??

The race based parties are more destructive towards a certain race then any help so in my view…just not relevant anymore!

The report…

After the dissolution of the Kedah MIC Youth Brigade on Wednesday, the Perak MIC Youth Brigade followed suit today as the movement too had lost confidence in the leadership of MIC president Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu.

The dissolution of the movement, involving 500 members, was announced by its head S.Pannir, who also announced his resignation at a press conference held in Ipoh today.Former information chief of the National MIC Youth movement, A Rajakumar said the dissolution was decided as members of the brigade had lost confidence in Samy vellu’s leadership. He said the members were losing direction especially after the party president ordered the MIC National Youth chief S. A. Vigneswaran to step down.
“We have lost confidence in party president Datuk Seri S.Samy Vellu and also want him to step down as MIC president,” Rajakumar said at the joint press conference with Pannir and several committee members of the brigade.

MIC hires IT experts

The MIC has hired two information technology (IT) specialists to rebut allegations against the party on the Internet.

“We would make sure that the allegations are replied to within 24 hours,” president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said here at the 62nd Selangor MIC delegates conference here on Saturday.

The IT experts would also attend to the complaints through the party’s call centre. The centre, currently under renovation at its headquarters, is expected to be operational next month.

“They would also refer the problems to the respective MIC leaders who would raise them with the relevant government agencies if required,” he said.

MIC Re-Branding

When a party performs badly in a election, the logical thing to do is apost-mortem. THis is done to look at what went wrong, if its still relevant to changing times? And what has to be done. Mic was the first to come out of the blocks after the poor performance in the election with its re-branding excersice. Its president felt that re-branding the logo, colours, song and website will effectively sway the votes back to their favour and the people are(who lost) are still the right people to take the party foward.

You can watch Uncle Sam’s press conference HERE

PS - The new re-branded website is down :P http://www.puteramic.net/

Good Luck MIC!

110 MIC Members Resign to Join PAS

You know that racial politics is not something the people want anymore when members of a certain race based party quit to join another party! MIC is become irrelevant in my view, unless the old hands wash their hands of the party and effectively re-brand themselves to sing the new tune its going to be just another piece of history.

Check this story from the star

The Kampung Jebong MIC branch in Simpang here was officially dissolved when 110 of its members quit the party to become members of “Kelab Penyokong PAS” (PAS Supporters Club).

Branch chairman M. Muninathan, accompanied by committee members, submitted their application forms to Bukit Gantang MP Roslan Shaharom at a village temple here on Saturday night.

Roslan said the welfare of the former MIC branch members and members of the Indian community would be taken care of.

“We will take care of you because any problems affecting the Indian community will also affect members of the other communities,” he said.

Roslan said he was indebted to the Indian community here as more than 95% of Indian voters within the Bukit Gantang parliamentary constituency had voted for him in the recently-concluded general election.

He said members of the community had every reason to rejoice as two of the three state seats in the constituency had been won by Barisan Rakyat, and the victors — Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) and Tai Sing Ng (Kuala Sepetang) — had been appointed exco members of the new Perak state government.

Should Samy Go?

Some leaders recognize that its high time to make way for the younger generations and some simply don’t! There were massive calls for his head before the elections then the impossible happened. The people of Sungai Siput voted out the incumbent Samy Vellu off Sg Siput seat and effectively kicked him out off the government. He may feel that the people of Sg Siput went against him after all that he did for him, but the questions is What did you do Samy? No really!

Our leaders have a tendency of comparing themselves to countries who are light years behind us.That naturally makes them look slightly better but are we that bad? I have got some questions i hope some of you can help me answer :

- What Samy Vellu a mere puppet representing the Indians?

- Does MIC have capable leaders to take over from him?

- Do Indians actually need a body to represent them?

Now, the ministry-less Samy Vellu wants to rebuild MIC together with old nemesis Subra. Do you think he is going to do anything at all now? What is he going to do so differentily to get back the confidence of the voters? Personally, its not damage control or rebuilding when you keep the same people rulling for too long. Its like a cancer…. When one has cancer for a long time, treating it or trying to fix it will only prolonge the painful eventual death!

Cancer needs to be removed and not just removed, totally wiped out! You see if you remove the cancer and dont clean up the cells around the cancer, it will spread again!! The way i see it ,almost imposible right now.

How to fix this?

My thoughts are …Start fresh, we need brilliant, bright people who are more aware of whats happening around the world and not just be “jaguh kampung’s” a politician is no longer on top of the food chain! The people are and we should elect the people who can improve out quality of lives and take us foward as a nation(like we did :) )

Having said that, i prefer a multi ethnic party rather then a race based! Its the future of politics and way of life! As man-kind we demand mutual respect and all to be treated as equals. Anything you benefit has got to be on merit not spoon fed! The revolution in Malaysia has began, and its only going to get better! :)

What you think Samy Vellu should do now? Vote on poll on the sidebar! :)
