M Saravanan Online

Political blogs are coming in thin and fast lately. Get onto the web and you’ll find easily about 50% of all Malaysian politicians with a website or a blog. Out of those 50% the Pakatan Rakyat politicians probably have about 45% and 5% may be from BN.

I have enjoyed most Pakatan Rakyat politicians blogs. They contain real information which the people can visit and learn about. Hannah Yeoh, Nik Azmi, S Manikavasagam, Teresa Kok, Jeff Ooi, Tian Chua have got superb blogs to name a few. They contain real information. It can be either for their respective constituencies or simply personal blogs.Most of the time it is updated by the politicians themselves with maybe some help in setting it up in the first place.

I haven’t found 1 GOOD got blog/website that belongs to a BN politician.

I came across this one today. The blog of the Federal Territory deputy minister M Saravanan. When you land on this website the intro is like your going onto a awesome website that will blow you away. Then when the flash intro ends and you click the enter button. The school kid website opens up.

Its a poor school project like website with some hideous buttons scattered all over the place that contain nothing but air .Take away all the flash and glamour and just stare at the content, its something that could have been a very boring blogspot blog. Look at it this way, it would have been absolutely free to carry the info that is in there now and the so called “web presence” would have been established probably like now, nobody would be visiting the site because it was that boring.Things like my fav blogs/news/civil soceity/local authority is not something you can acheive with free services like blinklist or del.icio.us.

The FAQ is a interesting read! His role model is Samy Vellu… hmmm….

He has a blog which is at http://msaravanan68.blogspot.com/ which does have updates from time to time. What is msaravanan.com for then?? Curious…. YB Saravanan, you should really speak to the dude who help draw up your website because it is truly sad. If reputation is something to go by, i think its time to re-vamp this NEW website. I think blogers and blogging is on a maturity stage where people look at the content together with the look and feel, they go hand in hand!

Time may be a factor for a politician to blog or maintain one but seriously…dont you guys have helpers?
