PM admits fault

PM admitted that he was among the factors which caused the Barisan Nasional ruling coalition to suffer heavy losses in the previous general elections.
“I feel I am the reason for the spoilt votes for the Barisan Nasional. And I feel responsible to do what’s best to rehabilitate the BN and Umno,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama
He has got a huge job ahead on his hands, prooving his worth, rebuilding the party and trying to get the confidence of the Malaysian people. Will it all work out for the PM?
Time will tell…

Tun M Live
Tun Dr.Mahathir was at the MYKMU.net organised forum on April 1 2008 on the election results.Small clip of the kind of responces he gave the crowd on some questions that were posed to him! He is still on form despite his age and his multiple heart surgery’s. If only we had a few clones of him, modern politics versions, most incumbents wont be having the holidays they are enjoying!

Pak Lah, a good Prime Minister?
Since 3/8, many people have argued that Pak Lah has to step down as the Prime Minister of Malaysia. After the defeat suffered by his party, Pak Lah still took a courageous step forward and decided to be the PM for Malaysia for another term. I am proud of him. I am also happy because I don’t know what would have happened if Najib or anyone else in BN would have been the PM.
I was happy when Pak Lah was first elected as the Prime Minister of Malaysia. I am of the opinion that he is a good man and a cleaner politician compared to the others in his team. He is the only one left in BN that is capable of being the PM. The others have too much dirt in their hands and heads and thus cannot run this country.
Yes, he has made a few costly mistakes and the most costly one was to listen to his BN alliance instead of the Rakyat themselves. If only he would have taken the time to hear the HINDRAF leaders out, I think BN would have won the 2/3 majority. He chose to listen to Samy Vellu and subsequently he had to pay a very costly price. I also hope that he stops sleeping during functions. That’s an embarrassment!!!
If we had anyone else as the PM, I don’t think we would have had an election like this. There would have been more foul play, dirty tricks, chaos and etc. I am not saying that we had a clean election but it was just better than if anyone else from BN would have been the leader. Thank GOD!

I heard Pak Lah addressing the Rakyat a few days ago. After so long, this was the first time I heard him speak so freely. I hope he continues to speak up and stop taking the blame and carry the burden of others on his shoulders. Everyone has to face the consequences of their action. Right from the beginning Pak Lah has given his ministers the freedom to deal with issues and make decisions. Unfortunately, the ministers he had were useless and thus the massive misuse of power. Pak Lah should now let his ministers carry on to be free to make decisions but he has to have a leash tied to them. When they get a bit out of hand, he has to pull them back and warn them instead of letting them run loose.
However, with the strong Barisan Rakyat present today, I am sure they won’t be able to run too far away. The Barisan Rakyat will be there to ensure that the ministers perform their job.
Pak Lah, sorry to say this, I think you have a bunch of useless people around you. Some of your guys have still not learnt their lesson and are still trying to play the racial game. A good example would be Khir Toyo. Are they out of their mind? Come on, its time to grow up. Ask them to start behaving professionally if they want to gain the support of the Rakyat back in the next election.
However, no offence to you Pak Lah, I think this would be your last term as PM. The next election the Barisan Rakyat will take over. They have already started to prove that they are what they say they are. I think they will continue to progress and the the people will be supporting them. Kami bukan Melayu, Cina atau India. Kami Bangsa Malaysia!!!!

SPR needs intelligent staff!
Well, the elections are over and I am still enjoying and celebrating the victory of the opposition which is a dawn of a new era in Malaysian politics. However, I just wanted to share this story with you guys out there.
On 8th of March, my aunt went to vote at the polling center which was located in Sek. Keb. Damai in PJ. She was classified as a senior citizen and was streamed accordingly. SPR staff were smart enough to stream the voters into different categories but lacked the intelligence to ensure that the polling booths are located at suitable places. Senior citizens were asked to go to the 3rd floor and their booth was the last room on that floor. On the other hand, the young and energetic voters were asked to vote on the ground, 1st and 2nd Floor. Now, do understand what I mean? I just don’t understand what was going on in the head of the SPR staff. Was this done intentionally? I just wonder. Hopefully this stupid thing does not occur again in future elections.

The Mystery of Rembau

On Saturday night, the initial count for the Rembau parliament constituency in Negri Sembilan showed that PKR had taken the seat by a razor-thin majority of 141 votes.A recount however saw a complete reversal - Khairy Jamaluddin, son-in-law of premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, won by a staggering difference of 5,000 vote. In the final results, Khairy bagged 26,525 votes against Badrul’s 20,779, with a majority of 5,746.
Amazing how the numbers could vary so much after a re-count isnt it?
So which was the correct numbers?
“There were (also) irregularities in the vote counting procedure. The Election Commission (EC) did not issue the ‘Form 14′ to us when it was compulsory to do so,” said Badrul, a former teacher and member of PKR supreme council.Elaborating, Badrul said that Form 14 was an extremely important procedure as the document was one of the many measures that was in place to prevent vote-riggin
Badrul told reporters that they will consult their lawyers and will consider issuing a petition to challenge the results and call for a re-election. What ever the outcome it could be interesting!

Bangsa Malaysia is born!

The elections is definitely a dawn of the new age in the Malaysian political scene. It was more than a awakening for most of us and I’m sure we never thought the this day would ever come!! It shows that Malaysians as a whole have matured tremendously and wont settle for second best anymore.
If you watched the coverage of the election results some people were out with racist remarks blaming some of the cause of all this happening but whats wrong with what has happened? I for one feel that its time for us to stand up and be counted. We are all Malaysians and we are all the same!! Religion is no longer main stream, not a good enough reason for anyone to get priority over another.Religion should be something personal and not a reason for giving a upper hand to anyone.
Its the new age it should be a even playing field to all. If you want to do well, work at it! Nobody should be given a golden plate to stand on and dictate ,that is the thing of the past! Malay,Chinese,Indian or any other race in Malaysia we are all brothers and sisters of this soil we call home! This is our country and we should be proud of where we have come so far!
Look at the members of the parliament, logically the Indians are under represented with all the MIC personal crashing out but the others that made it will fight the cause for us all and I at least have faith in them!
DAP,PKR and PAS have got their chance they have been asking for now. I hope they don’t let us down and do well for their own good and the good of the people. One things for sure, if they don’t live up to it…..The mature nation wont be as kind as they have been!!
Bangsa Malaysia is born, lets now take it to the next level!

NST oh NST!
With all the heat and buzz about the general elections, NST comes up with stories like THIS. Surely there are far more important issues such as why the BN lost its 2/3 majority, why five states went to the opposition, and what this means for the BN that are suitable for an editorial? This is, really, a low point for the NST

“Saya tak tau”!!!

The Chairman of the Election Commission has just declared that BN has won 127 Parliamentary seats and simply said “Tak Tau” to how many seats were won by opposition. Look at Koh Tsu Koon, perfect gentleman. He is a true leader who accepted defeat with grace. Tan Sri Abdul Rashid, the government went all out to keep you in office and even thought it necessary to amend the Federal Constitution just to keep you in office and all you could afford to do in return is to say “tak tau”. Job well done Sir!!!!
