ACA Rampage
The Anti Corruption agency has been on a rampage lately nabbing numerous officers from the government and previous government officers.
The latest casulty list include :
- Director-general of Immigration
- Head of Kelantan Fisheries Department
- Director-general of Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board
This has been good news that the ACA is truly doing its role as it was originally set out to do. There has been talk for the ACA to be a commision thus making it trully independant. Having said that is it trully indepandant now?
My questions
- MRR2
-Maika Holdings
-The recent reports by Mazlan Harun on Pak Lah & Najib
Why arent these high profile cases being investigated the way the rest were? Is this a measure to show everyone that they are doing their job and keeping everyone shut..for now?
Show your true steel ACA, we want to see proper investigations being held to everyone and anyone that is corrupt!

ACA report against Najib & Pak Lah

It just seems to be getting worst and worst for the rulling party isnt it?Malaysiakini reported that An Umno veteran today lodge a complaint against party president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and deputy president Najib Abdul Razak with the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) for alleged abuse of power.

The complainant, former Umno youth exco Mazlan Harun, claimed that both Abdullah and Najib had abused government machinery to garner support among Umno members in a bid to sustain their position in the party in the coming party elections.
This would be a true test of the ACA steel in curbing corruption, lets see if anything actually gets done or it would just go quiet like the Altantuya case

Super Soorya
According to the MIC hotshot Datuk Samy Vellu, the party is re-branding and this will effectively propel them into the spotlight again. While the efforts of a new logo, party colors, charter and all that mambo jambo is going on downs south a MIC state leader M Soorianarayanan was charged with corruption.
To add icing on the smelly cake, it was for a mere RM3500. The offence??
For allegedly making a false claim for an air-conditioner unit worth RM3,500
However the state head pleaded not guilty at the Johor Baru Sessions Court. He has been released on a RM5,000 bail.Imagine that! He allegedly made RM3500 and his bail is RM5000. Apparently he was the no choice for Datuk Samy Vellu to stand during the March 8th election but was dropped due to Rm3500!He was then replaced by MIC Johor Wanita chief T Murukasvary who went on to win(on of the other few MIC members who won).
He was charged under Section 11(c) of the Anti-Corruption Act 1997 which is punishable with a jail term of up to 20 years and a fine not less than five times the value the gratification or RM10,000 whichever is higher.
All this is happening while the Terengganu state government claimed that Proton Perdana’s cost too much to maintain and they have spent more than RM100,000 to repair.

DSAI at ACA - Pt 2
Malaysiakini reported that PKR de facto leader Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim is back at the ACA office today to giving his statement on the alleged fabrication of evidence in the “black eye” incident of 1998.DSAI was present at about 9.50am together with his lawyers R. Sivarasa and Param Cumaraswamy. This time around he does not have to rush to any police station and can hopefully give a full statement without worrying about any masked cops pulling off a Hollywood style arrest on him.

International Media Coverage
International media covering the Anwar Ibrahim arrest case. The world is watching our every moves, wonder if they are laughing at us or?! Remember that the next time you have to go to the police station for any reason, go a day earlier or much much earlier, unless your comfortable with a bunch of ninja look alike picking you up from the streets
