General Elections, Malaysia, Thoughts

Pre Election

It all comes down to this day, the 8th of March 2008, Malaysia decides! After weeks of massive campaigning, cartoon bashing to constant insulting the people take the polls to decide their fate for the next 5 years. This elections saw a new media hitting the masses hard with multiple sources with their own version to educate the people on what has been happening around in the form of blogs.
Blogs give an opportunity for those who are genuinely concerned to get their thoughts known and of course some who have got other motives as well. Blogs have let the people who were actually there or have “inside info” to tell the tale of what has been happening. For me it doesn’t get any better than this. Unlike before when we all used to rely on the mainstream media with their one sided stories which naturally people end up believing but they hey..you cant blame them!As a nation i think we have matured tremendously, we can identify right from wrong or good from bad,but sometimes those who govern don’t realize that and treat the nation like babies, thats why some of them sound like children themselves. Blogs have gained so much reputation through the very people who are threatened by it as well.
There have been politicians lies who come out and tell the people that its lies and all that but in reality, why are they soo threatened by it if its lies? This indirectly has boosted the interest in blogs and people now slowly discover the sources with real substance vs the hot air.
I know where my alliance lay. This elections i hope you have done your homework and decided on who you will be voting for. Make up your own mind and don’t let anyone else influence your decision. Please don’t spoil your vote and just not go out and vote. Your vote counts and it can decide a victory from a defeat.
Do it for the future of Malaysia!

One Response to “Pre Election”
No Matter what and whom you are voting… most importantly vote vote and vote. Its really important and every single vote counts and thats what will make the different. I believe that for once in every 5 years we have the chance to decide the kind of goverment that we need. NO point in grumbling over it when you dont do your job (voting).
