SAPP Plans Hit Road Block
SAPP have planned to put their plan to freeze their plan in tabling a no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister. Apparently they are doing this to avoid blame for political uncertainty which may include the imposition of a possible Emergency rule.
Oh well…i always felt when politicians come out and say something they have to stand by those words!! Its not like they suddenly decided to say what ever they wanted too, its definitely went through rigorous discussions before the announcements.
For whats its worth, at least they have not gone missing

Petrol Price Goes UP!
The government has just announced that petrol price will go up by 78 sen at midnight - a 40.6 percent jump from RM1.92 per litre to RM2.70.The price of diesel will go up 92 sen, or 58.2 percent - from RM1.58 per litre to RM2.50.
The price hikes are among government measures to cut the spiralling bill for oil subsidies, which is expected to amount to RM56 billion this year.At a press conference held at 5pm, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi also announced that the government plans to offer rebates to motorists to offset the fuel price increase.
Under the scheme, vehicles below 2000cc will receive a RM625 rebate annually - to compensate for 800 litres of fuel used under the new price.Motorcyclists will be given a rebate of RM120. The money will be paid by postal order.Rebate will be paid when motorists renew the road-tax for their vehicles.
The government is expected to save RM4 billion under this new subsidy restructure. If petrol is to be sold at full market prices, it could be as high as almost RM4 a litre - about 100 percent above current levels.
However the government is slowly expected to head towards totally abolishing the fuel subsidy. In English, that means were screwed!

Mission Sarawak

From the general election one of the biggest lesson learnt is if you want to stand a chance at forming the government you need to have a strong hold of Sabah and Sarawak. PKR is actively in that space right now doing their ground work in order to shed some light to our dearest brother and sisters on what Malaysia needs, a new government.
PKR leader Dato Seri Anwar(DSAI) is actively on a mission to gain the confidence of the people and leaders of Sarawak and Sabah and removing the smoke screen left there by the ruling party. DSAI has received nothing short then a overwhelming response from well wishers and supporters and this marks the begging of PR’s presence in West Malaysia

Selangor Mp’s declare assets

Penang government has been the one that has been singing the tune of having a clean, transparent and corruption free government. The Selangor government seems to be catching on to this as it was reported today that Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and all his exco members have declared their assets which will be made available soon for the public.
This is truly admirable, people can talk but from previous experiences few have walked the talk. That seems to be a thing of a past now with many MP’s starting to practice what they preach.
I’m hoping for all the governments to follow suit as this surely promotes transparency! Well done to the Selangor leaders!
