Mahathir Mohamad hinted that Anwar’s wounds might be self-inflicted. “Anwar may have intentionally hurt himself to derive public sympathy,” the national news agency Bernama quoted Mahathir as saying. “It’s not impossible because he will get plenty of mileage if he showed he was abused by police,” Mahathir told reporters.

The evil Mahathir said he himself has become the victim of a conspiracy orchestrated by his former deputy Anwar Ibrahim to topple him, not the other way round. “Accusations that I conspired to overthrow Anwar were nonsense…on the contrary, I became a victim of a conspiracy to topple me,” he said in a presidential address to the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO) annual general assembly.

“I admit I was quite naive as I did not believe that my deputy, a person I had brought into UMNO, whom I positioned in the party and the government, would try to topple me. But now, I have to believe this was what he did. He himself admitted it,” Mahathir said. Mahathir spent most of his hour long speech explaining to the party stalwarts why he sacked Anwar from his cabinet, then the party, in September 1998. He said it was his “responsibility toward UMNO, Islam and the country” that he should tell the truth instead of “just running away” when UMNO and his leadership are being besieged.

Mahathir admitted that convincing the public of Anwar’s alleged sexual impropriety is a difficult task, given the former deputy’s pious Muslim image. “If I want to sack my deputy, I would not choose a reason that is hard to explain or defend,” he said, apparently suggesting the charges must be true, in his eyes at least. Denying there was a conspiracy against Anwar, as he continued to charge, Mahathir said it was Anwar who brought his own downfall when he, against Mahathir’s advice, decided to lodge a police report against the circulation of the controversial book “50 Reasons Why Anwar Cannot Become Prime Minister.” The book raised Anwar’s alleged sexual misconduct. He said it was the police investigation, based on Anwar’s own complaint, which led to Anwar being charged in court “by the public prosecutor, not the prime minister.”

Mahathir counter-charges, Anwar conspired to unseat him by using the Asian economic crisis, and with the help of foreign governments and the media. Anwar “saw the economic turmoil as an opportunity to take over the government…as a result, this leader asked his henchmen to raise questions on cronyism, nepotism, corruption and others.” Anwar was even willing to be “a foreign puppet” to gain power, Mahathir said. “If I felt then that action against him was too harsh, today I am of the opinion that action taken against his misconduct is appropriate,” Mahathir said.

Mahathir said the Malays will be made use of by foreign powers if they choose Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister. Mahathir described Anwar as “a man of many parts”, someone with a forked tongue. “When he talks about Islam, Muslims will think he’s a champion of Islam. When he is with the Jews, the Jews love him. When he is with the Muslims, the Muslims love him. When he is with the temple groups, they love him too. “Everybody loves him. He is a convincing orator… If the Malays are willing to kowtow to the foreigners, then they can choose this person, as the prime minister” Mahathir said during a question-and-answer session after he opened the annual general meeting of Penang Malays Association.

In Anwar’s words, “I have made a categorical statement that there’s no malice; I want to move on with my life and pursue a reform agenda. But Mahathir went on, speaking like he was still the prime minister and repeating the scurrilous attacks against me. I’ve then cautioned him, warned him not to repeat the sodomy allegations. He did. I had no choice but to file a civil suit against him. I have forgiven but I will not forget”

Judge yourself, between the loud-mouthed beast roaring and terrorizing this nation and the person whose words, humility, guts and nobility which have won the hearts of many throughout the world.

Dont prove the world wrong, as the world is looking down at your ignorance and stupidity. Prove to this world once and for all, that you are intelligent lots and had taken enough of the nonsense from this evil beast. If you let this monster roam freely, if you do not put a full stop now, then this nation which is loved by many, will have no other choice, but be inhabited by dangerous beasts awaiting to kill their preys!
